Quaint Stones Corner, one of the smallest suburbs in Brisbane, was named after James Stone who purchased the land on the corner of Logan Road and Old Cleveland Road. He operated a ginger beer shop on his corner, and it became known as Stone’s Corner.
The high street is home to a curated mix of award-winning restaurants, cafes and bars. Stones Corner has become known for our great food trail and craft beer watering holes. Also among the mix is a great range of specialty stores, including beautiful fashion boutiques, homewares and gift stores offering locally made and sustainable products, artisan flower and plant shops, a classic family owned book store, in addition to popular beauty, hairdressing, and man grooming salons.
For those who love a good treasure hunt, Stones Corner is home to an array of thrift and charity stores and a new and used vinyl record store.
Our high street also has the necessities like local banks, Aldi, news agents, post office, Doctors and a chemist.
Stones Corner is often home to markets, events and The Stones Corner Festival (annually).
We are close to the CBD, it’s within a stones throw of the M1, the Buranda train station and the local Stones Corner busway station is part of the amazing Eastern Busway network.
