We are so excited to announce that after years of tireless work by the Brisbane City Council, supported by Cr Fiona Cunningham and Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, Hanlon Park / Bur’uda’s rejuvenation is complete! What was once a 100-year-old storm water drain is now a natural waterway, surrounded by open play areas and tens of thousands of native plants. Bike paths, playgrounds and picnic areas are only some of the new features available to the local legends of Stones Corner. On Saturday, the 23rd of July, the park was officially opened and blessed by a welcome to country followed by a smoking and dancing ceremony. We recognise and thank the efforts of the Architects, Planners, Landscapers, Builders, Surveyors and the Norman Creek Catchment team. We also thank the local stall holders who helped to make the unveiling of the park a day to be remembered!
